MST Zoom Call | Tuesday, April 15, 2025 | 6:30 PM CST

This week, Manitoba Stronger Together is sounding the alarm on an issue that affects millions of Canadians—and your ability to make your own health decisions.

We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Shawn Buckley, President of the Natural Health Products Protection Association (NHPPA) and one of Canada’s leading constitutional lawyers, to update us on the devastating new regulations threatening Canada’s natural health industry.

FEATURED GUEST: SHAWN BUCKLEY

Constitutional Lawyer | President of the NHPPA | Defender of Health Rights

Shawn Buckley has spent over 30 years defending Canadians and natural health companies against unjust and overreaching Health Canada regulations. He has represented more natural health product companies in legal battles than any other lawyer in Canada. And now—he’s coming to speak directly to YOU.

Shawn will break down the latest media release from the NHPPA and expose the truth about:

  • Health Canada’s so-called “Self-Care Framework”—which sounds harmless but is anything but

  • The massive fines, new licensing fees, and red tape that will destroy small health businesses

  • Why natural health products are now being regulated like pharmaceutical drugs—despite their centuries of safe use

  • How this is an assault on health freedom, bodily autonomy, and small business survival

What's at Stake?

According to the NHPPA’s April 1, 2025 media release, unless Canadians take a stand:

  • 82% of Canadians who rely on natural products will lose access to what keeps them healthy

  • The cost of remaining products will skyrocket, putting them out of reach for many families

  • Natural health practitioners may be forced to close their doors

  • Your freedom to choose natural options over pharmaceuticals will vanish

  • The strain on the public healthcare system will worsen as people are forced into pharmaceutical-only solutions

WHY SHAWN BUCKLEY MATTERS

Shawn is more than an expert—he’s a warrior for truth and freedom:

✅ Author of The Charter of Health Freedom—a proposed law that would protect natural health rights

✅ Expert witness in the House of Commons and Senate

✅ Advocate behind the third-largest paper petition in Canadian history

✅ A voice who speaks up when others stay silent

THIS IS YOUR WAKE-UP CALL

This is your chance to hear directly from the leading voice in Canada’s health freedom movement.

Get informed. Get inspired. Get involved. Your health—and your rights—are worth fighting for.

#1 News of Week

Dr. Roger Hodkinson will retain his medical license following a hearing before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), which resulted in minimal sanctions against the outspoken pathologist.  Dr. Hodkinson faced allegations of unprofessional conduct regarding 17 public statements made in November 2020 and April 2021. His remarks were critical of public health officials and presented an alternative perspective on COVID-19, including the efficacy of masking and vaccines.

While Dr. Hodkinson did not concede that any of his statements were false, he acknowledged that his criticisms of other physicians technically breached the Code of Ethics and Professionalism. He also admitted that he should have clarified that his views were outside the scope of a general pathologist.

The case was resolved through a joint submission, resulting in Dr. Hodkinson receiving a caution and being required to complete an online course on influence and advocacy.

Dr. Hodkinson now joins other prominent health professionals, such as Dr. Jordan Peterson and Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill, who have been cautioned by their respective regulatory bodies for making public comments that diverge from the official narrative. #2 News of Week

Pastor Phil refused to bend the knee to the censorious thugs lording over him. Eventually, he was arrested and jailed. He was actually placed in solitary confinement for a week for reasons that remain mysterious! Serial killer Paul Bernardo is now in a medium security jail with access to a hockey rink; homegrown Al Qaeda terrorist Omar Khadr was given $10.5 million for having his feelings hurt; but Pastor Phil had to do hard time in solitary… for helping people in need? Gross.

Luckily, The Democracy Fund got involved. And TDF was successful. Almost two years later, a federal judge dismissed the charges against Pastor Phil. Department of Justice spokesman Geoffrey Downey said the tickets were withdrawn

#3 News of Week

Minnesota State Representative Shane Mekeland filed bill HF 3152 to prohibit the administration of gene-based vaccines. This effort makes Minnesota the 11th U.S. state with legislative efforts to ban mRNA injections. The McCullough Foundation is actively providing lawmakers across various states with abundant evidence for the immediate market withdrawal of these gene-based products. However it has been admitted that the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex power has suppressed most of these efforts — most of which pass initial committee hearings but get killed without vote by “leadership.”

In a landmark decision, the Ontario Court of Appeal has ruled that the province’s strict COVID-19 gathering restrictions, imposed in the spring of 2021, unjustifiably violated the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The unanimous decision in Hillier v. Ontario overturned a lower court ruling and declared that the absolute ban on outdoor peaceful assemblies was unconstitutional, marking a significant victory for former MPP Randy Hillier and advocates of civil liberties.

On minimal impairment, the court found that less restrictive alternatives, such as allowing small, distanced outdoor protests, were not adequately explored. “A total ban on the exercise of a fundamental freedom cannot readily meet the second step of the proportionality assessment,” Justice Lauwers stated, citing Supreme Court precedent against blanket prohibitions.

The proportionality analysis further tipped the scales. While recognizing the public health benefits of reducing viral spread, the court highlighted the absence of evidence quantifying the specific risk posed by outdoor protests or the incremental benefit of banning them over permitting limited gatherings. “There is no evidence that Ontario ever considered an exemption for peaceful assembly,” Justice Lauwers noted, calling this omission “entirely contrary to the purpose of the Charter.” The deleterious effects of silencing political dissent during a crisis outweighed the unproven benefits, rendering the ban unjustified.

THIS WEEKS READ

A Mini-Report from the National Citizens Inquiury is this weeks read. It is an exceept from the original report published in November of

Mini Report Overview:

inhumane consequences of government-mandated restrictions. The NCI report outlines how both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions—such as lockdowns, distancing mandates, and enforced isolation—led to profound physical, emotional, and psychological harm among elderly Canadians. Despite early awareness of the virus’s threat to seniors, those in power imposed policies that isolated them from family, restricted access to healthcare, and degraded their quality of life.

Through testimony from frontline healthcare workers, family members, and patients themselves, the report paints a chilling picture of neglect. Witnesses shared stories of loved ones left alone for weeks, denied basic care, and even dying without family present. In care homes across the country, many elderly residents were reportedly confined to their rooms, deprived of social interaction, and barred from essential support provided by family caregivers. Despite the severe outcomes, there was little to no government oversight, and in many cases, no inspections were carried out to ensure care standards were met.

Compounding this tragedy was the government's coercion of seniors into taking experimental injections—despite a lack of safety data for this vulnerable population. The report confirms that seniors were not included in pre-release clinical trials for the COVID-19 genetic vaccines. Nevertheless, many were pressured or misled into taking them, with numerous testimonies reporting severe reactions or even deaths following injection. Experts like Shawn Buckley and Dr. Christopher Flowers raised alarms about these risks, but their warnings were largely ignored by authorities.

Isolation also played a key role in the mental and emotional deterioration of seniors. With strict visitation policies and social distancing measures, elderly Canadians were cut off from their support systems. The resulting loneliness, depression, and cognitive decline accelerated health deterioration in many, with some choosing medically assisted death (MAID) as an escape from their suffering. The report highlights that seniors who once thrived with family involvement and community care quickly declined when left in isolation.

The NCI mini report also points to a massive failure of regulatory agencies and healthcare leadership. Many facilities were critically understaffed due to injection mandates that forced resignations and terminations, leaving those who remained overwhelmed and unable to meet residents’ needs. Caregivers and administrators, the report claims, “followed orders” despite knowing the harm these policies would cause. Testimonies indicate widespread disillusionment within the healthcare system and a need for legal and professional accountability.

In conclusion, the report calls for immediate, non-political judicial investigations into the treatment of seniors during the pandemic. It urges the government to prioritize seniors’ access to care, strengthen visitation and social support policies, close the digital divide, and reeducate or remove those who participated in or enabled senior neglect. The findings paint a harrowing picture of systemic failure and demand urgent action to ensure such tragedies never occur again.
