Volunteer Opportunities:


In each of these 14 federal electoral districts, we're looking for dedicated individuals to take on two key roles:

  1. MST Federal Riding Representative: As an MST Federal Riding Representative, you'll be the face of Manitoba Stronger Together in your district. You'll help connect with the community, share our mission, and drive engagement. Your voice will be instrumental in advocating for positive change and building a stronger Manitoba. This role is crucial to the success of MST and is the leader in the District, reporting to the Leadership Group.

  2. Federal Riding Events Coordinator: The Federal Riding Events Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and initiatives within your district. You'll be at the forefront of creating opportunities for community members to come together, discuss important issues, and take action. This role is key to the success of each of the Federal Riding Initiative, the role reports to the local MST Federal Riding Representative and has some direct contact with the Leadership Group.

Description of MST Federal Riding Representative's Duties:


As an MST Federal Riding Representative, you will serve as the primary liaison between Manitoba Stronger Together and the residents of your federal electoral district. You will be working directly with the Leadership Group, and your role is crucial in advancing our mission of building a stronger, more connected Manitoba. Here's an overview of your key duties:

  1. Community Engagement: Engage with community members in your electoral district to build relationships, raise awareness about Manitoba Stronger Together, and encourage participation in our initiatives.

  2. Advocacy: Be an advocate for the values and goals of Manitoba Stronger Together. Promote our mission to empower parents, protect children, and uphold transparency and accountability in your district.

  3. Information Dissemination: Share important information, updates, and resources from Manitoba Stronger Together with your community. Ensure that residents are well-informed about our initiatives, events, and campaigns.

  4. Networking: Build a network of like-minded individuals, community organizations, and stakeholders who share our vision. Collaborate with local partners to amplify our impact.

  5. Feedback Collection: Act as a conduit for feedback and concerns from your community back to Manitoba Stronger Together. Provide valuable insights on local issues and sentiments.

  6. Event Participation: Attend and actively participate in MST events, meetings, and activities both at the local and provincial levels. Encourage community members to participate as well.

  7. Promotion of Initiatives: Support the rollout of Manitoba Stronger Together's campaigns, events, and programs within your district. Encourage community members to get involved.

  8. Reporting: Regularly report to Manitoba Stronger Together on your activities, achievements, and challenges in your federal electoral district. This feedback is essential for our continuous improvement.

  9. Collaboration: Work closely with the Federal Riding Events Coordinator (if applicable) to organize local events and activities that align with our mission and values.

As a Federal Riding Events Coordinator for Manitoba Stronger Together, your role is to work with the Federal Riding representative and the Leadership Group to organize, plan, and execute events and activities within your federal electoral district. Your efforts are essential in fostering community engagement and advancing our mission. Here's an overview of your key responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning: Plan and organize events, meetings, and activities that align with the goals and values of Manitoba Stronger Together. These may include town hall meetings, workshops, awareness campaigns, and volunteer recruitment drives.

  2. Venue and Logistics: Secure venues, equipment, and any necessary permits for events. Coordinate logistical aspects such as scheduling, seating, and catering (if applicable).

  3. Promotion: Create promotional materials and strategies to raise awareness of MST events within your federal electoral district. Utilize social media, local media, and community networks to maximize reach.

  4. Attendance and Engagement: Ensure that events are well-attended and engaging for participants. Encourage community members to actively participate in discussions and activities.

  5. Collaboration: Work closely with MST Federal Riding Representatives to ensure that events align with local priorities and community interests. Foster collaboration with local partners and organizations.

  6. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from event attendees and community members to assess the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement.

  7. Reporting: Provide regular updates and event reports to Manitoba Stronger Together, including attendance numbers, outcomes, and any noteworthy insights or success stories.

  8. Budget Management: If applicable, manage the budget allocated for events, ensuring cost-effective planning and responsible financial management.

  9. Adherence to MST Values: Ensure that all events and activities adhere to the values and principles of Manitoba Stronger Together, including transparency, accountability, and a focus on children's well-being.

Your role as a Federal Riding Events Coordinator is vital in creating a sense of community and shared purpose within your electoral district and supporting the broader mission of Manitoba Stronger Together. Content Creation and Social Media Volunteer:

  • Role Description: As a Content Creation and Social Media Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the online presence and communication efforts of Manitoba Stronger Together (MST). Your creative talents will help us produce engaging content for our website and various social media channels.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Content Development: Create compelling written and visual content that aligns with MST's mission and values. This includes articles, blog posts, graphics, videos, and other media.

    • Social Media Management: Manage and maintain MST's social media accounts, including posting regular updates, responding to comments, and engaging with our online community.

    • Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and strategic online presence.

    • Visual Design: Design graphics, images, and multimedia assets to accompany online content and enhance engagement.

    • SEO Optimization: Implement search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve the visibility of MST's online content.

    • Engagement Monitoring: Monitor social media analytics and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies as needed.

    • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including the MST Leadership Group, to ensure that content aligns with organizational goals and initiatives.

    • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all content adheres to MST's brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and messaging.


 

Advocacy and Outreach Volunteer:

  • Role Description: As an Advocacy and Outreach Volunteer, you will be at the forefront of championing MST's mission and initiatives by establishing and nurturing relationships with local organizations, government representatives, and other stakeholders. Your efforts will help advance our advocacy and engagement efforts.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and connect with relevant stakeholders, including local community organizations, government officials, and potential partners who share an interest in MST's mission.

    • Advocacy Initiatives: Promote MST's initiatives, campaigns, and goals to key stakeholders, advocating for positive change and community involvement.

    • Collaboration: Collaborate with external organizations and groups to build strategic partnerships and alliances that support MST's objectives.

    • Information Dissemination: Share MST's resources, publications, and updates with stakeholders to ensure they are well-informed about our activities and impact.

    • Event Participation: Attend relevant community meetings, forums, and events to represent MST and engage with stakeholders face-to-face.

    • Feedback Collection: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and MST, gathering feedback and insights to inform our initiatives and improve community outreach strategies.

Event Volunteers:

  • Role Description: Event Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of MST's events. Your assistance with logistics, registration, and participant experience helps create memorable and impactful gatherings.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Logistics Support: Assist in planning and setting up event logistics, such as venue preparation, equipment setup, signage, and seating arrangements.

    • Registration Management: Help manage event registration, including check-in, distributing materials, and providing information to participants.

    • Participant Experience: Ensure that event attendees have a positive experience by providing assistance, addressing inquiries, and guiding them throughout the event.

    • Event Coordination: Collaborate with Event Coordinators and other volunteers to ensure the smooth flow of the event, including managing schedules and activities.

    • Safety and Comfort: Attend to the safety and comfort of participants, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the event.

    • Feedback Collection: Collect feedback from event participants to assess their experience and gather insights for future event improvements.

    • Collaboration: Work closely with MST Leadership Group and Event Coordinators to execute events that align with MST's mission and objectives.
